An independent exhibition exploring global queer fashion and design culture as a parallel to a Walter Van Beirendonck exhibition, “Dream The World Awake” at RMIT Design Hub. Artists and designers included are BRAD GUNN Melbourne sculptor, VINCENT KEITH UK photographer and publisher of Mascular magazine, HARALD LIGTVOET Dutch fashion designer, known dandy and cake decorator, GEORGE PLIONIS, NY-based Australian jewellery designer, DOUGLAS MCMANUS Award-winning experimental Australian textile designer and RMIT educator, TIMO RISSANEN NY-based educator and fashion designer working on zero-waste fashion. These works are assembled to tip the hat to aspects of gay bear culture underpinning some themes represented in Walter Van Beirendonck’s work.
